Schmetz needles are the choice needles for sewers around the world, these top quality machine needles are, manufactured since 1851.

1708: Size 70/10. Universal needles for most woven and knits.

1709: Size 80/12. Universal needles for most woven and knits.

1710: Size 90/14. Universal needles for most woven and knits.

1711: Sizes 70/10, 80/12, 90/14. Universal needles for most woven and knits.

1713: Size 90/14. Stretch Needles for elastic materials and highly elastic knitwear. The medium ball point, specially designed eye and scarf prevent skipped stitches.

1718: Size 75/11. Universal needles for most woven and knits.

1719: Size 90/14. Quilting needles made for piecing and machine quilting. The special tapered design allows easier fabric penetration and helps eliminate skipped stitches.

1726: Size 90/14. Jersey/Ball Point Needles for use on knits and some stretch fabrics. The medium ball point does not damage or break knit fibers.

1730: Size 80/12. Microtex (Sharp) Needles. The thin acute points of these finely crafted sharp needles are ideal for quilt piecing. You can also use them for straight stitches and attractive top stitching in a variety of fabrics like polyester, microfibers, coated materials, silk, artificial leather and foils.

1741: Sizes 75/11 and 90/14. Serger Needles has a point suitable for all fabrics.

1742: Sizes 75/11, 90/14. Machine Embroidery Needles are for use with rayon and other specialty machine embroidery threads including polyesters. The special scarf, long smooth groove, and large eye of this needle protect these more fragile threads and guard against excess friction.

1772: Size 100/16. Hemstitch Needles are for producing hemstitch effects, a decorative openwork stitching, on tightly woven fabrics. They are also called wing needles.

1778: Size 100/16. Universal needles for most woven and knits.

1783: Size 110/18. Jeans/Denim needles for penetrating extra thick woven fabrics, denims, or quilts with minimum needle deflection, reduced risk of needle breakage and skipped stitches.

1785: Size 100/16. Leather Needles for use on leather, artificial leather and heavy non-woven synthetic. Has a cutting point.

1793: Size 90/14. Topstitch Needles have an extra long eye. For use with topstitch, heavy, multiple, or poor quality threads.

For best performance use the appropriate size needle for fabric and sewing project, the smaller the needle size the lighter the fabric, for example size 70/10 will be appropriate for very light fabric like sheer chiffon or organza and size 110/18 will be appropriate for heavy weight fabrics like denim and canvas. Appropriate size for medium weight fabrics like quilting cottons is 90/14.
